[ BANGALORE , India] – To foster agriculture sector
awareness among young people, particularly those whose families are involved in
agriculture and related fields, Alltech India holds an annual art contest for
children across the country. The contest was launched last year, receiving an
overwhelming response.
Inspiring the next generation is a core focus at
Alltech, a global leader in animal nutrition and health, said Dr. Aman Sayed,
regional director of Alltech South Asia. This annual contest is only one of
many ways in which Alltech is inspiring today’s children to be ready for the
challenge of feeding 9 billion people by 2050.
In addition to
teaching children and honouring their innovative ideas, the contest gives us
all an opportunity to see our world through the eyes of a child.
Who can participate?
Students
aged between 6 years and 15 years, whose parents are engaged in work
related to agriculture and allied fields, can participate in the contest.
When
are entries due?
The
contest is open from 1 August to 30 September 2016. The last date to submit
artwork is 30 September 2016.
What
is the theme of this year’s contest?
This year’s theme is “Agriculture and Rural Life.”
Subtopics include dairy, poultry, agriculture, aquaculture, shrimp and fish,
and “The Family of a Farmer.”
How
can entries be submitted?

Scan completed artwork and email a soft copy to alltechartcontest@alltech.com.

Send the hard copy of the artwork to Alltech’s Bangalore corporate office (address
below), along with the completed registration form available at http://global.alltech.com/india/news/alltech-art-contest-2016,
by post or courier.
When
will contest results be announced?
Contest results will be announced on 10 October
2016.
What
prizes will be awarded?
The
top 12 winners will each be awarded a cash prize of $50 and a
certificate, and their winning artwork will be published in the 2017 Alltech
India calendar.
